• Create the Illusion of Occupancy: Use timer switches for lights and radios, and close curtains after dark.
• Install External Lighting: Fit motion-sensor or dusk-to-dawn lights near entry points.
• Lock All Doors and Windows: Double-lock uPVC doors (lift handle and turn key) and secure sheds and garages.
• Keep Keys Out of Sight: Never leave keys near doors or windows.
• Manage Deliveries: Ask a trusted neighbour to collect mail and parcels if you’re away.

Garden & Perimeter

• Lock away ladders, bins, and garden furniture.
• Ensure fences and gates are secure.
